Cobdenia has a good reply there.

There are a few Furtherment of Democracy resolutions that also were deleted. In you are interested in a final vote count of all resolutions (passed, failed, and deleted), there is a summary at the United Nations Association archive:

There are no official NS records of resolutions that failed, so younger nations may be forgiven for thinking that they all passed. However, as records by several member states show, several resolutions have failed. The method by which proposals reach the general floor of the UN tends to 'weed out' the weaker ones.

If you don't like PDFs, here's another linky list from NSwiki.

All the failed resolutions we have records on are there, along with links to the discussion topics on the forums.

1. You'll have to ask the "why" question to someone else. I vote against most resolutions. :D

2. The UN hasn't passed every proposal that has reached quorum, just a disturbingly high percentage of them. ;)

And this is due in part to the fact that it currently takes ~150 delegate approvals for a proposal to even reach the floor which practally assures that it will pass.

Well. "Failures" aren't officially recorded on the UN page like Resolutions which have passed. But's it's nice to see you've seen that the system does in fact work to some degree...

If people don't like PDFs, I'd be happy once a month to email the MS Word copies of the resolutions. The advantage of Word files is you can copy and paste the text to use in your discussions, but the PDFs are released in that format is they are a RL government standard for releasing written reports / documents. In fact, the UN does the same with many of its own resolutions. :) But in any event, if people are interested in any of the UNA files, I'd be happy to make a mailing list and once a month send out any file that has been updated in the previous month.
