What are people's views on my proposed resolution the disabled persons anti discrimination act? It can be found on the list of proposals, at the moment it is on page 7 I think. I believe it is necessary to protect the rights of disabled persons in every member nation, allowing them to work, be paid the same as others and the right not to be sterilised by an extreme government.
It is considered polite to post your own proposals when you intend to discuss/promote them. I've done it this time, but people won't always do it for you.
Disabled Persons Protection
A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.
Category: Human Rights
Strength: Mild
Proposed by: Imperial Great Britain
Description: The 'Disabled Persons Act' will outlaw disability discrimination throughout the world as stated in the following clauses.
1) No state may pass legislation that seriously undermines the human rights of the disabled, this may include but is not limited to banning disabled persons from working, sterilising disabled persons and any other legislation that to a great extent, is incompatible with their human rights.
2)No State, public organisation nor private company or establishment may have a clear anti-disabled persons employment policy, this however does not neccesitate the introduction of quotas.
3) Every disabled person should have the right to life and that right should be entrenched to prevent any state or person from removing the disabled person's right to life.

Approved.
I feel the lack of a disability discrimination resolution is a grave ommision; however, the other, earlier, proposal with similar aims would have meant destroying historic buildings. This covers everything that should be concisely.
