Look, Myxx, just let your steam cool. The person has been dealt with. The best we can do is move on.

And I have a pet peeve against self-elevated posters. I've just had to learn to shut my mouth at times these posters get on and self-wank. At certain times I've been more successful at non-response than at other times--but I have improved over time. I just had realize that I had that negative emotion regularly, and that I didn't come off well when I posted while experiencing that emotion. I gave myself a sort of timeout to put things in context a little more.

Besides, I think it's good you're angered by these sorts of things. There are a lot less important things to get upset about than people making fun of others' ideas. It's justifiable to feel negative emotions against people that do that.

Just make sure that justifiable emotion doesn't translate into un-justifiable action.

I agree with PC, and would like to add that having some sort of punching bag really helps release the negative energy.

I mostly just ignore posts like that. Someone who brings themselves down to that level only makes themselves look foolish and is beneath my notice.

That's understandable. But when they get modded, just take a perverse pleasure in the fact they got in trouble for it. I find it helps.

In other cases, it depends on how they are mocking.

If this anything to do with me, I did apologise, and I spent an hour making a trunk call to make sure that I got that accurate.
Hence I was pissed off...
