I recently put a proposal to the UN delegates in reference to repealing Resolution #91 about Prostitution. I would like some nations help to getbehind this. Thanks for the support and feel free to contact me about it.

Please note two things:
1) It is generally considered polite to post your proposal/repeal on the forum when you intend to discuss it.
2) Resolution numbers confuse people. Use the name of the resolution you are targetting, not its number.

Repeal "The Sex Industry Worker Act"

A proposal to repeal a previously passed resolution

Category: Repeal

Resolution: #91

Proposed by: Toilet-stania

Description: UN Resolution #91: The Sex Industry Worker Act (Category: Free Trade; Strength: Significant) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: I must argue that not only the issue of prostitution but what comes along with it are unpleasant. The idea of "favors" or sex for money is most unplesant. It also has the tendency to create a rise in crime as well as organized crime. Along with the spread of AIDS in the world everyone must be more cautious. For these reasons I believe we should repeal UN Resolution #91.
So your main argument is that it's 'icky'? Plus you ignore the fact that the resolution in question allows full education for prostitutes in regards to STDs, and you ignore the fact that if something is legal, then it is unlikely that there would be any advantage for organised crime to also offer it.

The "its icky" arguement does not hold any water. Neither will your name give you much credibility.

Should you desire a lowering of STDs in your nation - pass some laws about educating the public and/or making protections and/or testing publically available.

Finally - and we mean this - we make oodles of cash from prostitution in all its forms. Over one third of our civilian liner fleet is dedicated to nothing but hedonistic cruises for sex-crazed maniacs and maniac-ettes. Last I checked, it cleared seventy-two billion in net profit last year.

Care to give us a real reason we should consider a simplistic "its icky" proposal?

We repealed a resolution like this once already, revamped it and put it back in the system. Even if you get off of "It's icky", you're going to have a VERY hard time repealing this resolution.
