To ensure a proposal is accepted by most of the people, I suggest the proposal approval system should be improved by adoppting EITHER one of the following policies.
1. Use the system for voting resolution, i.e. an UN delegate should have N votes for approving a proposal. (Where N stands for the number of countries they had in their region.) A proposal should get at least 15% of the total number of UN members to get it become a resolution.
OR
2. The top TEN regions with the MOST POPULATION (data renewed weekly) should be treated an "International delegate" and
In order to get a proposal to become a resolution, the proposal should
a) get AT LEAST EIGHT International delegate participating in its approval process, AND
b) gain the support (approval) of AT LEAST SIX International delegate AND
c) get AT LEAST 6% of all Delegates to aprove it (which is same as the current system).
AND (which means the following rule applies to both of the above policies)
If ANY region delegate used the vacation mode, they would automatically LOST their delegate job and the one with the SECOND MOST endosement (and of course, not in vacation) should automatically take his place BY THE END OF THE DAY*. (This is fair, isn't it?)
* This make the new system adapt to the current one much easily and prevent "mis-checking" the vacation mode box.
I am sure this new system could help to make our UN more democratic, as there are currently someone trying to split big regions into smaller ones (with only 2 countries, each) so that they can get their proposal approved much easily.
Please state your opinon here.
