A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: WorldDominationGlobal

Description: In reference to Proposals Numbers 6, 12, (14), 17, 19, 20, 22, 25, 26, 28, 38, 41, 49, 51, 53, 54, 63, 80, 92, and 95, a YOUTH RIGHTS CHARTER shall be created to expand upon these Ideas.

GIVEN that many nation states deem Child Labour unfit for the world we live in and given that industries and labor work which Youth mainly do are often highly negative to a child's body and physical as well as mental health,

BELIEVING that it is a fundamental right to be given the chance to grow up educated and free from unnecessary disease, injury, and possible serious injury or death from industrial or labour work,

The UN shall deem new laws, which resolve to create a YOUTH RIGHTS CHARTER, under which:

Be it hereby resolved that:

a) The term "Youth" shall be applied to Persons from Age of Birth to Age of 16.

III. Every youth has the right to a living wage and not to be targeted for exploitation by an employer/employee.

c) That every youth shall live without fear of death through
I. Mandatory military service, no matter which country.

d) Every youth has the right to quality primary, secondary, and post-secondary education, trades training, and apprenticeship programs, regardless of the income of their parents.

e) Every youth has the right to free health care; this includes mental health care, reproductive health care, and access to medication.

g) Every youth has the right to fully-funded, quality social services; this includes welfare, free childcare, legal aid and counseling.

h) Every youth has the right to a clean, healthy, and beautiful world and to environmental policy that puts people and sustainability before profit.

Description: In reference to Proposals Numbers 6, 12, (14), 17, 19, 20, 22, 25, 26, 28, 38, 41, 49, 51, 53, 54, 63, 80, 92, and 95, a YOUTH RIGHTS CHARTER shall be created to expand upon these Ideas.

That's a lot of precendent then...are you sure all these apply?

GIVEN that many nation states deem Child Labour unfit for the world we live in and given that industries and labor work which Youth mainly do are often highly negative to a child's body and physical as well as mental health,

In fact so much that it is illegal in the UN.

BELIEVING that it is a fundamental right to be given the chance to grow up educated and free from unnecessary disease, injury, and possible serious injury or death from industrial or labour work,

Okay, I'll give you that one. Unnecessary, yes, but some jobs carry a risk, and have appropriate wage rises because of it.

ASSERTING that it is immoral and atrocious to force children, by manipulation, authority or raw strength, to work for corporation or state, and BELIEVING that Youth should receive rights and freedoms,

Already covered.

The UN shall deem new laws, which resolve to create a YOUTH RIGHTS CHARTER, under which:

Be it hereby resolved that:

a) The term "Youth" shall be applied to Persons from Age of Birth to Age of 16.

Let's not do the whole alien life thing jsut yet.

b) That Youth Slavery would be prohibited;

I. The UN shall GUARANTEE that no Youth shall work in Industrial or Labour Jobs, or any jobs with a significant risk as described by Part II.

II. That Youth shall be prohibited from working in any occupation such that their health would detrimentally decrease through:
i. inhospitable conditions which pose a risk to health,
ii. material which would cause any type of injury,
iii. work which would cause any type of injury,
iv. any task which would involve serious injury

What about jobs which have a risk attached? Like every job. Pointing cars into a car park has the risk of being run over. Are you saying youths should be banned from such jobs? All jobs have risks.

III. Every youth has the right to a living wage and not to be targeted for exploitation by an employer/employee.

Define living wage. Most youths will have a home, so therefore have room and food. In fact, they barely need anything, so a living wage seems silly.

IV. Every youth shall have the right to speak out against such actions, free from criminal prosecution or threat of death.

c) That every youth shall live without fear of death through
I. Mandatory military service, no matter which country.
II. Threat of Death because of War at home or abroad. (e.g., Youth P.O.W.s, Racial Discrimination)
III. Threat of Death in General, no matter which way.

Woah, woah. Back up a minute, I thought this was already covered in countless resolutions, for all people, youths or not.

d) Every youth has the right to quality primary, secondary, and post-secondary education, trades training, and apprenticeship programs, regardless of the income of their parents.

e) Every youth has the right to free health care; this includes mental health care, reproductive health care, and access to medication.

f) Every youth has the right to live free from harassment based on ethnicity, race, sexuality, gender, or class, and the right not to be targeted or criminalized because of age. This includes pedophilia.

Done, done, done. See past resolutions.

g) Every youth has the right to fully-funded, quality social services; this includes welfare, free childcare, legal aid and counseling.

h) Every youth has the right to a clean, healthy, and beautiful world and to environmental policy that puts people and sustainability before profit.

Comments?

Not going to happen, especially H. That is such a sweeping clause that it utterly changes the entire thing, as giving that to youths gives it to all people.

Overall, I think you have some good ideas, but much of this is already covered.

Same old stuff.

Description: In reference to Proposals Numbers 6, 12, (14), 17, 19, 20, 22, 25, 26, 28, 38, 41, 49, 51, 53, 54, 63, 80, 92, and 95, a YOUTH RIGHTS CHARTER shall be created to expand upon these Ideas.

Potentially an amendment, which makes it potentially illegal. In addition, that much precedence leaves little room for this to do anything.

GIVEN that many nation states deem Child Labour unfit for the world we live in and given that industries and labor work which Youth mainly do are often highly negative to a child's body and physical as well as mental health,

It's illegal.

BELIEVING that it is a fundamental right to be given the chance to grow up educated and free from unnecessary disease, injury, and possible serious injury or death from industrial or labour work,

That is a privilage, not a right. A right is something not easily taken away, like death.

ASSERTING that it is immoral and atrocious to force children, by manipulation, authority or raw strength, to work for corporation or state, and BELIEVING that Youth should receive rights and freedoms,

By your morality, it is immoral. Keep in mind that not everyone in the UN has the same morality.

The UN shall deem new laws, which resolve to create a YOUTH RIGHTS CHARTER, under which:

Be it hereby resolved that:

Oh, this is going to be good.

a) The term "Youth" shall be applied to Persons from Age of Birth to Age of 16.

Not all species age at the same rate, even among the large variety of Earth sentient species. You still have to deal with sentient penguins, which potentially have entire generations come and go in that time.

b) That Youth Slavery would be prohibited;

Already covered.

I. The UN shall GUARANTEE that no Youth shall work in Industrial or Labour Jobs, or any jobs with a significant risk as described by Part II.

Already covered.

II. That Youth shall be prohibited from working in any occupation such that their health would detrimentally decrease through:
i. inhospitable conditions which pose a risk to health,
ii. material which would cause any type of injury,
iii. work which would cause any type of injury,
iv. any task which would involve serious injury

See Makatoto's point.

III. Every youth has the right to a living wage and not to be targeted for exploitation by an employer/employee.

Once again, rights vs. privilages comes up. Also, keep in mind what Makatoto said.

IV. Every youth shall have the right to speak out against such actions, free from criminal prosecution or threat of death.

Already covered.

[uote]c) That every youth shall live without fear of death through
I. Mandatory military service, no matter which country.
II. Threat of Death because of War at home or abroad. (e.g., Youth P.O.W.s, Racial Discrimination)
III. Threat of Death in General, no matter which way.[/quote]

Already covered.

d) Every youth has the right to quality primary, secondary, and post-secondary education, trades training, and apprenticeship programs, regardless of the income of their parents.

Once again, rights vs. privilages. Already covered.

e) Every youth has the right to free health care; this includes mental health care, reproductive health care, and access to medication.

f) Every youth has the right to live free from harassment based on ethnicity, race, sexuality, gender, or class, and the right not to be targeted or criminalized because of age. This includes pedophilia.

Already covered.

g) Every youth has the right to fully-funded, quality social services; this includes welfare, free childcare, legal aid and counseling.

Define "quality." Also, this is the first new idea you've had all proposal. Welfare itself goes against my social standards and would make the children social outcasts. Not a good idea.

h) Every youth has the right to a clean, healthy, and beautiful world and to environmental policy that puts people and sustainability before profit.

Um, this is way too big and requires multiple resolutions.

Comments?

Yes. Drop everything except G for being the junk it is and work on that.
