Delegates think! Do we really want a centralized, global agency in the hands of UN bureuacracts deciding what happens to our loved ones' organs? And how might this universal UN global card be abused? Next thing you know, it will have a DNA chip, and will morph into a global identity card, with dire implications for national sovereignty and individual rights. I could support a scaled down version that facilitates government-to-government, or NGO-to-NGO efforts to establish a network for sharing of available organs for transplant, but the wording of this -- putting it all in the hands of the UN, goes way too far.
