The Condition of 3rd world nations in our great world can not be accepted while we have properous nations, with poweful economies that show no sign of slowing down or crashing.

PROPOSAL. The United nations should elect a council to draw plans for and establish the United Nations Worldwide Free Trade Agreement( UNWFTA).

PURPOSE. To establish programs in 3rd world nations to help bolster their economies, threfore reducing the worlds cost in internationsal aid to these countries.

URGENT. The programs must be implemented fast or the economies that are in danger of or have already imploded or have already crashed, will become further into dangerous territory. Passing ths resolution will provide these countries with the ability to help themselves, reducing or removing the millions of worldwide dollars that are porued into these countries. They become in debt to the richer nations, which they are not able to pay back. Passing this reslution will not only help third world countries, but our nations as well.

The nations are powerful because they chose to be, same as the nations that are weak. It's the choices you make that lead you to where you are in this game. I see no reason to pat people on the head and reward them for making bad choices.

I think we should leave trade alone. The current system works and satisfies many nations.

I send them two fingerbones a year. If that. They are where they are because they chose to be there, and I see no reason to not let them suffer the results of their choices.

How will it help my nation? I get no direct benefit from this and the indirect benefit is negligable. And if they are in debt to rich nations, that's because of their choice, just like how they ended up with dying economies. Let them suffer the results of their actions.

Welcome to the NSUN! We might be a bit snappy and rude at times, and if two of us agree, watch out for the apocalypse. But its always a pleasure to have new faces, with fresh viewpoints.

Great idea in principle, but more specifics on the programs are definatly needed. And don't expect to name them off without a fight.... even those who are willing to help poor nations won't approve your resolution if it has some poor wording or loopholes.

One suggestion I have is to write a resolution taking away trade barriers, or limiting government subsidies that give wealthy nations unfair advantages over developing ones. I'm sure other posters here have lots of ideas to think about.

Removing trade barriers has already been discussed and determined to be an economic disaster for too many UN nations. And limiting government subsidies is potentially illegal, due to the Support Hemp Production resolution.

My advice: Don't do either. Set up a charity if you wish, but don't make contribution mandatory.

How are you defining third-world countries? Enn has an imploded economy, but I certainly wouldn't say we need, or want, help from the rich nations.
