I would like to see the text of the submitted proposal (so try not to nuke that nation, at least until they manage to post their proposal here).

I'd nuke the puny nation that suggested this, but it's a waste of a perfectly good nuke.

Here is the text of the proposal.
Nuclear war is a scary thought and we have a responsibility to stop it if possible. I propose all nations give their nukes to The Armed Republic of Northern Nukeland for immediate "disposal"
Everyone who joins me in support of this resolution will be making a powerful ally in both The Armed Republic of Northern Nukeland and The 3rd Reich. As for those threatening my country, all I have to say to them is
BRING IT ON

Yeah, people will trust a small nation with the entire UN's supply of nuclear weapons

Are you suggesting I have alterier motives here? Only an evil mind like yours could see a perfectly good Nuclear proliferation act as an attempt to steal the worlds nukes. I am greatly saddenned the U.N does not trust it's own members. Why when you step into these hallowed hall you take an oath of honesty. You sir are a misguided individual indeed. Why if my country believed in religion I'd be praying for you. Good day sir

Are you suggesting I have alterier motives here?Think about it from our point of view. You want all UN members to hand over all of their nuclear weapons to you. Now give me one good reason why I shouldn't think that there isn't even the possibility that you could have a ulterior motive.
Only an evil mind like yours could see a perfectly good Nuclear proliferation act as an attempt to steal the worlds nukes. You're not trying to obtain all the world's nukes just the ones belonging to the UN members, remember UN resolutions only affect UN members.
I am greatly saddenned the U.N does not trust it's own members. Why when you step into these hallowed hall you take an oath of honesty. That's funny all I remember doing to join the UN was click a button that said join, I must have missed that oath of honesty.
You sir are a misguided individual indeed. Why yes, yes you are Northern Nukeland.
The Rogue Nation of Flibbleites will NEVER turn over our nuclear weapons to anyone, that's assuming, of course, we have any. ;)

Nargopia will never support a nuclear non-proliferation resolution, only because of the many non-UN nations that have nuclear weapons. Nargopia also assures any suspicious nations that the mushroom cloud seen on Mt. Narg this past Saturday was only the result of an old lady leaving popcorn in the microwave too long. ;)

I just thought of something, The resolution just says to give the nukes to them for "disposal." All that has to be done is the nukes just need to be launched at Northern Nukeland the resulting detonations would insure that the nukes are "disposed" of.

True, but then we'll have nothing to launch at the next fascist nation who will undoubtedly propose a resolution as transparent as this one.

You guys seem to be the only members that feel this way because many people are supporting it.
If by many you mean 4, then you have a landslide :}
Ya that resolution is just stupid. For one, the majority of the UN will not want to give away their Nuclear bombs. Also, if you have been on Nationstates for awhile you will know every resolution that has brought up nuclear prohibition has been defeated (2 to my knowledge so far). The fact is that people like their nukes and they are a great deterrent because nations OUTSIDE of the UN will still have them.

There is a differently worded proposal that attempts to deal with nuclear disarmament currently in the proposal list, specifically:
--------
Ban nuclear weapons
A resolution to slash worldwide military spending.

Considering that is duty of the UN to establish the minimums criteria of respect of the environment
Considering that is duty of the UN to maintain and to promote the peace between the nations
Considering that Science and History have demonstrated beyond every doubt the danger constituted by nuclear weapons for the world-wide population, the peace between the nations and the survival of the Heart ecosystem.
The United Nations Declares:
1. All the nations that belong to the UN have to dismantle their nuclear weapons within the maximum time of 5 years from the approval of this resolution.
2. All the govenments programs on nuclear weapons shall be immediately cancelled and the fund to they assigned shall be spent for the operations of dismantling of the nuclears arsenals.

I am sorry if my analogy was offensive to any nation. I will not refer to any sovereign nation as a terrorist without extensive proof. But giving every nuclear weapon to any nation for disposal seems rather odd. You have Kervoskia's apologies and we hope this will not harm future realtions between nations. And Will Bill we both lacked self control. But despite that we will still never support such a resolution.

OR we could just do what has been suggested by three people (myself being one of them) already, use his nation as target practise in order to "dispose" of the nukes.
I say we give him all of our nukes, drop a couple of antimatter bombs on him, and then rebuild our nuke stockpiles.

Alright, you supply antimatter bomb technology to Vastiva, and you have yourself a deal, DLE.
I'd love to use their nation as target practice, but I'm afraid the nation will be decimated before we get enough practice. Terrible shame that.
