A proposal in the UN was to make democracty mandatory, and I don't think it should be voted in because this will-
Stop dictatorships- many players want there nation to be a dictatorship, and if you take that away, you are taking a big chunk of freedom away!

They can't stop me from being a dictatorship as I'm not a member of the UN ;)

Maybe you should post this UN-related discussion in...oh...maybe the UN forum? Just an idea. ;)

Indeed, my state, for example, aims to protect the people. However if you gave them democratic power, the greedy aspects of the population would turn to capitalism.

It would swing the game horribly in favour of capitalist, neo-nazi nations.

I think it's an illegal resolution anyway. Even if it's not, a mod would probably delete it due to all of the red tape it would create.

I'd like to give a shout-out to all of my socialist brothers out there. Keep the playing field level y'all.

Can anyone define the word "democracty?" I can't find a definition anywhere.

What is bad about this proposal is-
1) Our very first issue involves banning elections!
2) The idea of the game is to let countries run it like a dictatorship if they want!
It should not be considered because the summary of the game when you log in is that you can deliberately oppress your people and stuff like that!

Resolutions can neither ban nor mandate specific government types. Games rules, combined with passed resolution (Rights and Duties).

So does that mean this resolution won't be considered!

It means that it will be deleted by the mods.

That's funny. Can't believe I missed it the first time.
