Here, everybody should support this proposal:
Build Voltron
A resolution to improve world security by boosting police and military budgets.

Description: Due to the threat of global terrorisim, and rouge nations who are currently building nuclear weapons prgrams The Grand Dutchy of Leothan proposes that the UN constuct Voltron Defender of the Universe. By using the power of Voltron the UN can establish peace and justice throught the world.

Highly illegal.
Problems:
1) Establishes a UN military force.
2) Silly.
3) Suggests goal is to enforce UN resolutions on entire world.
4) Misspelled "rogue."
5) The nation currently has a salvo of 600 antimatter missiles cruising straight at it from a computer error on 100 of my ships.
6) I shot the sheriff but didn't shoot the deputy. I stabbed him instead.
7) Voltron would have his mechanical ass handed to him by the first starship he came across. And don't think they wouldn't come.
8) Silly resolutions don't deserve serious responses.

I've heard scary things about these 'rouge' nations... something about excessive makeup... We fear their 'prgrams', but then again we fear all alien systems of measurement... As for this 'Voltron' thing... *shiver* I am curious about establishing peace and justice 'throught' the world, as I'm not sure what that means... regardless, we fear Rouge Nations

Two points.
Firstly, I think the resolution is a little too brief and could be expanded a little. After all, Voltron, defender of the universe sounds like a big project.
Secondly, does the UN not already possess strategic satellite systems, along similar lines to this, along with other defensive measures to counter terrorism, rogue nations, and nuclear missiles?
Actually it doesn't. The UN possesses no military power because it is forbidden to.
The member nations, however, is another matter.
