Re: Proposed UN Resolution "Rights of indigenous peoples"
The Armed Republic of Bulwei is forced to cast a vote of "No" against this resolution. The parts of the resolution that state that indigenous peoples shall be free from "discrimination" are, in our opinion, both unreasonable and unenforceable.
The very act of discrimination is both consonant with and inseperable from our nature as human beings. It is deciding between nourishment and poison, good and evil; it is determining loves, friends, acquaintances, agreeable or disagreeable neighbors, and enemies. To force an individual or a people to act in a manner contrary to the natural right of choosing for themselves is, at best, pretentious; at worst, tyrannical. Either way, it is unacceptably rude.
