I have submitted two repeals that can be found here (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/37488/page=UN_proposal/start=93) (at the bottom of that page, most likely). I ask for delegates' approve of them.

Here is the text of my proposal to repeal for "Education for all"

Repeal "Education For All"
A proposal to repeal a previously passed resolution

Category: Repeal
Resolution: #3
Proposed by: Powerhungry Chipmunks

Argument: The United Nations,

RECOGNIZING the merits of “Education for all” and the ideals behind it,

MAINTAINING the principle of free education for the youth in member nations,

RECALLING “Free Education” implemented August 19, 2003,

ADMITTING “Education for all” as redundant given the implementation of “Free Education” (which grants free education to all member nations' citizens under 18),

DECLARING itself against waste and bureaucracy:

REPEALS “Education for All” implemented January 8, 2003.

Voting Ends: Sat Jan 22 2005

Here's my proposed repeal of "Required Basic Healthcare"

Repeal "Required Basic Healthcare"
A proposal to repeal a previously passed resolution

Category: Repeal
Resolution: #17
Proposed by: Powerhungry Chipmunks

Argument: The United Nations,

RECALLING “Required Basic Healthcare” implemented June 5, 2003 and “’RBH’ Replacement” implemented June 26, 2003,

RECOGNIZING “Required Basic Healthcare” as a valuable reference document, a worthy model or ideal for member nations to follow,

RECOGNIZING FURTHER the UN member nations’ preference that it not be enforced as law, as per clause 1 of “’RBH’ Replacement”,

DEEMING it a clerical and technical necessity to repeal “Required Basic Healthcare”:

REPEALS “Required Basic Healthcare” implemented June 5, 2003

Voting Ends: Sat Jan 22 2005

Please approve these two repeals.

Thank you for your time,

Those have already been marked for deletion and hopefully they will be.

That is well recognized. However, I, for one, would prefer it if the United Nations democratic process came to act in this matter, rather than the admin. As UN members are fully aware of the double legislation here, I see no reason not to advocate a repeal rather than a deletion. Also, how would he "Required Basic Healthcare" remain as a "reference" document (as mandated by "'RBH' Replacement") if it were deleted? I'd rather work towards fixing problems with previous legislation than sit on my hands and simply 'let it be'.

Part of dealing with a repeal is one of those is a health issue. Stop and remember how the UN tends to deal with health issues.

Er, I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at there.

Simple. The UN has, as you have stated, a history of passing proposals related to health. Considering how well they like them, you have to get passed the idea of them wanting to reinforce it.

I would love to see the resolutions removed, but I must question if your magic hat has two rabbits in it.

I hope it does. But, should I fail to get bunny ears, I'll just try again.

If I see these up for vote, I'll vote in favor of the repeal. They are worthless resolutions that have been replaced by others and should be removed.

Oh, there's also one on oceans that needs removed because the one immediately after it does the same thing in an expanded form. I'll link it if you wish, but it'll take me a bit to get my UN nation with enough endorsements to propose it.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to Mariskale, we're against inneccessity (is that the proper word)
