Exact Name: Animal Abuse Act

Resolution:

This Resolution, if passed, will ban all forms of animal abuse and/or animal sacrifice.

Which is a violation of religious freedom, as certain religions practice animal sacrifice.

CALLING TOGETHER all nations within the UN to ban all forms of:
Animal Discrimination
Animal Abuse
Critical Animal Testing(testing which can harm an animal)
Animal Sacrifice

"Animal discrimination?" You need to explain what you mean by that.

Animal abuse needs to be defined.

Animal testing is necessary for scientific advancement, as certain items must be tested before being used on sentient beings.

Once again, religion issue on the sacrifice.

ACKNOWLEDGING that animal euthenasia is legal under veterinary supervision

ACCEPTING animal sacrifice in "Major Religions"

And yet, you're still banning the sacrifice.

LIMITING the number of domesticated full grown animals to 5 per household except if the household is:
An Animal Shelter
An Animal Hospital
Farm
Animal Breeder
Animal Trainer
Animal Groomer
Zoo
Other Specifics

You need more advanced limitations. Under this, I can have five elephants in my house while someone else gets in trouble for having six mice. It's rather ridiculous.

STATING AND DEMANDING that all animal abuse cases are to be treated severly with a large fine and/or jail time

Still need to define animal abuse. And people on here don't like it when you mess with their laws.

BELIEVING that more money and time should be put into helping animals and stopping animal abuse

Where is the money comming from?

DEMANDING animals whose owners are found guilty of animal abuse will not be allowed to own animals or work with animals again. All animals owned by an animal abuser will be placed in a new home.

Horribly worded. Under this, you are allowing the owners to have animals again but through some leap of illogic are banning the animals themselves from having pets.

STATING that all cases of animal abuse that are found to be in the owner(s) defence will be discarded

ALLOWING add-on(s) to this resolution with UN agreement.

Still waiting on a definition of "animal abuse" for this.

If you are interested in this, there is actually a pretty good proposal already waiting to be approved.

Since I have gone through the process of writing a proposal on animal abuse myself, a few pointers:

-Be specific, but don't over do it.
-Define everything.
-You will never make everybody happy.
-Do not get easily offended; some people can be very rude when commenting or questioning your proposal, the best you can do is be polite and filter out the good information from the nasty remarks. To add on to the last peice of advice, don't take it personaly - for some people, the game is about tearing every proposal to shreds; not just yours.
-Be organized.
-and Ask questions.

as for your current proposal:

Leave the punishments up to the individual nation. Some nations have different ideas for punishment.

Specify what animal abuse is and what it isn't. Some topics that arise are animal sacrifices, testing on animals, hunting, farming, pests or dangerous animals, animals used in the making of movies, etc. I like that you pointed out euthinasia by a vet.

Read your proposal ten times over before submitting. In this proposal you ban sacrifices and then accept them. Which one is it?

Not every proposal; just the insultingly silly ones.

Um, no.

Notice I said domesticated animals, and I gave a pretty good definition. Domesticated=Dogs, Cats, etc.

You gave no definitions. At all.

"Domesticated" doesn't just apply to pets. Not all domesticated animals are commonly pets and not all pets are domesticated. Part of life.

I'm sorry, no. For all the reasons already stated.
Critical Animal Testing(testing which can harm an animal)
Animal testing is required for the avancement of science and medicine. And also, what about animal treatments. Do you propose that we test them on humans?
