We have submitted this resolution to the UN so that we can universally agree that the body is the property of the individual and that logically, any choice made with it, is the choice of that individual, provided it does not effect the freedom and choices of others.

Human Rights

In light of the repeal of Resolution 46 we here by submit this proposel to uphold the rights of human beings to make choice s as they see fit with their own body and that by the signing of this resolution all nations agree that the body belongs to the individual and any choice made in connection with the use of that body are the decision of the individual alone; that freedom of the body is upheld porovided it does not effect the freedom of another individual.

If I use my body to pick up a couple of sacks of coins from the local bank, and then use my body to run away with it, does this resolution mean I am immune to prosecution? After all, it's not stopping the freedom of others. Yet this proposal appears to allow that.

Poor proposal.

The resolution isnt responsable for stopping people from commiting crime. Your police force is. This resolution exists to uphold the right of choice.

The resolution isnt responsable for stopping people from commiting crime. Your police force is. This by extension if someone was to become a prostitute in a nation which made it illegal, then they could do it, but since it's a crime they could be punished? Which is exactly my point - this proposal is just as bad as the first one for the number of clear, expoitable loopholes. This resolution exists to uphold the right of choice. Consult resolution freedom of choice. It's already been done. :)

I get what you're trying to do (legalise prostitution, drugs, stuff in the bedroom etc.), and I like the principle. But it really does need to be thought through better. Don't leave loopholes to allow theft etc., or exploitation of workers (right now, your proposal could be interpreted as banning minimum wages, workplace health + safety laws, maximum working hours etc., because it's the worker choosing to work with his body in whatver conditions - but really if you remove those barriers, employers will simply force standards right down with the threat of unemployment, because there's always someone willing to work that bit longer or for that bit less), and come back with an improved text.
