Is there a UN resolution to ban hate speech? If not should ther be one? I'm thinking of drafting such a proposal and am interested in your thoughts.

Fass would be strongly against anything of the sort. We enjoy our freedom of speech, thank you very much.
I have to agree with Fass. I might not like the fact people want to say bad things, but if I stop them saying that, what is to stop me stopping anyone saying anything I don't like?
And laws like this can (but don't always) lead to hate-crimes legislation, which would be an even worse thing.

We will always oppose the introduction of "thought police" proposals. Defining "Hate crimes" or "hate speech" is at best a guess as to the mental state of the speaker, and at worst a form of "political correctness as mind control".
Don't bother creating it. Every previous attempt has been vigorously and enthusiastically opposed.

If that's IC, you've just been put on our "Nations Suppressing Political Groups" list.

Hate Speech proposals will never win the support of the Republic of Stankystan.

Thanks for the advice I won't post this proposal. But the mind is always working. Utopia is always the goal.

Utopia is what you make of the mess you have.
