Gay marriage is already explicitly protected under Gay Rights (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=UN_past_resolutions/start=11) and Definition of Marriage (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=UN_past_resolutions/start=80), and implicity protected under several others. This says nothing new.
Read what's been passed before making unnecessary proposals, please.

I'm pretty sure this is redundant. Gay marriage is already legal under another U.N. resolution.

Plus, what evidence do you offer that marriage was around before religion? I was under the impression that marriage IS a religious thing, or at least started out that way...
