This might be a little extreme, but i know lots of nations will like it. Especially some like myself will be most pleased with it. So what do you think about naming yourself god of your country? The people might not like it at first, but with some brainwashing, propaganda etc. they'll be all yours.
Somebody should suggest THIS one if they care about the wellbeing of their people at all!
There is no God, therefore, your nation must follow an imaginary figurehead. Or a fraud who cannot be trusted to run the country in the populaces best interests.
(are my aethist inclinations showing?)
We have The Powers That Be. And the Lords Of Order. Given their infinite knowledge and wisdom, I think it might be a tad arrogant to declare myself to be at their level.
Only one person in our history has ever been declared a "god", and even then that was only because they became one.

I used to have a hierocratic puppet ruled by the 'Priest-King', who claimed to be a God. The novelty wore off after a few weeks. This was before I even started Enn.
Oh, and by the way, does this have much to do with the UN?

Nope ^^
I think he is trying to get support for a proposal that every leader of a UN nation will now be declared a god (or goddess (I would hope)) of that nation.
