The National Assembly of the Federation of Emagol has voted unanimously to present this proposel to the United Nations Delegates. We urge all Delegates to vote for this resolution.
This resolution sets out as it's objective to internationally and universally recognise the rights of human beings to classify themselves and participate in, equally and without let or hindrance legal, emotional and sexual relationships with members of the same sex.
This resolution is set in three parts:
Legal Rights:
This resolution rejects the concept of homosexual marriage and accepts the religious implications of [the concept] of marriage.
1) That civil licenses be granted to all those who wish to officially [in the eyes of all laws and its authority] unionise their relationship; and that this union afford the couple the same protections in official status as heterosexual marriage:
a) The union will create equal property rights
b) The union will create equal inheritance rights
c) The union will create equal medical rights concerning illness and death
2) A Civil licence will allow the union the right to claim benefits both from the government and employers as a unionised couple without prejudice or discrimination based on that union.
3) That all nations recognise the legality of such a union regardless of prejudice or individual attitudes.
4) All nations agree by the signing of this resolution that discrimination based on sexual orientation is wrong and will equalise all employment and charity status laws to include the protection of homosexuals at the workplace and in society
5) That schools must provide a specific anti-homophobia policy for the protection of homosexual teenagers.
Emotional Rights:
1) All nations agree by the signing of this resolution the legitimacy of same sex relationships and unions.
2) All nations agree by the signing of this resolution that homosexuality exists as a fact and therefore must be condoned as an individual choice or lifestyle.
3) That schools must provide a service to protect the emotions and actions of all teenagers regardless of sexuality.
Sexual Rights:
1) All nations must abolish laws which discriminate based on homosexual practices
2) All nations agree by the signing of this resolution to lower the age of consent to an equal footing of heterosexual relationships.
3) That sexual education in schools must allow for equal discussion, information and guidance for homosexuality as heterosexuality
This resolution attempts to bind in peace and equality differences between humans and endeavours to secure the right of ALL human beings in life, liberty and fraternity.
