Please post your opinions on the global library here.

I voted against it. It sounds ideal, but it would cost billions of dollars. That's a lot of money to pay when you can look things up in encyclopedias or the Internet. Don't vote for it just because holograms are cool.

first, I think there is official thread. post there.
second, many poor economics nations had no easy access for computer, and even less internet. they had right for information's freedom, just as anybody else. not to mention the poor literaty rates, that prohibid many citizens read the information. holograms could help there, much like books with pictures.

You've gotta be kidding right? Many poor nations can't afford computers and internet, but holograms are feasible? Here's an idea: If the more affluent nations can afford to by them holographic technology it should be even more feasible to get them the equipment that they need for the internet. I'd be in support of an online global library system, but holographic wrist watches are absurd.

maybe that is the main problem of the proposal, and I would choose cheaper and better solutions. but while I can't see any better proposals, I will prefer to support too much expensive proposal, than stay aside.

Hologram wrist-watches and other weird toys are a childish waste of money. As if nations could better afford all that stuff better than encyclopedias, books, and the Internet.

I am in agreance that the idea of a world library is fine, but the idea of holograms were writen by children. The scientists of my nation would rather spend their time developing medicine than goofy sci-fi gadgets
