My proposal was taken off the proposal list before its expiration date. I did not receive any message from mods about it. I believe because a few after mine were taken off too that the mods made a mistake and took it away a day early (Thurs. instead of Friday.) Can anyone comment...mine was a repeal of oceanic dumping...mods hello

Do you mean it said it was to expire Friday and wasn't around this morning when you woke up?

If that is the case, it most likely simply ran its normal course.

The expiration time of Friday could mean 11:59 PM or it could mean 03:01 AM.

You'll notice that the Chipmunks, Frisbeeteria, and myself frequently will copy the proposal text and list of endorsements of proposals that aren't ours, but that we'd like to see be resubmitted. We tend to grab this information starting the day before the proposals expire.

My advice to all proposal (including repeal) authors is to copy your text and list of proposal endorsements twice a day. This way if your proposal expires while you are asleep, you can start again and you'll have a good telegramming list. :)

So proposals expire at different parts of the day on their expiration date?

Right. But I've actually never bothered to really find out when the optimal time to submit a proposal is. Instead I just count myself in the camp that takes a proposal and watches it, and should it not reach the queue on the second try then I go back and make a few changes or wait a while.

For example, I'll be resubmitting my Beer Accord in the next few months, but largely because I really think it is a pretty good Free Trade proposal.
