Before making a Proposal... THINK

If you are going to make a proposal, at least have the common sense to put some time and effort into it. Nothing is going to get repealed because "I think it's bad" or because "It's just wrong" Have some meat in your arguement. And after having said that, open up a word document, or whatever you use for word processing, paste in your proposal and hit SPELL CHECK, these things won't take you long and you will go a lot further on getting votes for your proposal!

Most people who propose the gawd awful ones are of the "ME THUG! ME WANT NO BAD LAW! LAW BAD! THUG NO LIKE!" genre. I doubt they even read the forum.

surely the best laws that can be passed require no thought or consideration, because they come from instinct

Just a couple of days ago my daughter was telling me to use sentences to communicate, so that people could understand me. Must be something she was taught at school.

She's five, and understands this fairly well already.

I send emails around the planet every day at work, to many people who don't speak English as a first language. I know to be careful with grammar, spelling and abbreviations. Some of that would go a long way, here. But again, by posting in the forums, you're not reaching the target audience.

Amen to that!

And how about estimating the cost next time?

Ooooh, just let me find the idiot who wrote the anti-AIDS proposal!
Hey, I thought you left the UN. What are you doing still hanging around?

The Holy Empire's economy has boomed due to joining the United Nations. But we don't like the proposals that are just plain moronic. Like forcing nations to have certain things that go against National Soverignty.

Everything can theoretically "go against national sovereignty". That's why it's not such a big issue.
