Proposal: Repeal "End Slavery"

Slavery has been a beneficial practice for hundreds of years. Many great nations of the past were built upon the back of slavery. Although I do agree that slaves normally have no right to be enslaved, slaves build up economy to amazing levels and often it is possible for them to gain their freedom.

Therefore, I propose that:

- The ban on enslavement is repealed.
- New regulations are implemented to protect the slaves' rights.
- Maltreatment of slaves is a capital offence.
- Slaves MUST be fed and clothed, and have regular medical check-ups to ensure that they are healthy.
- If the slaves are found NOT to be healthy, then the owner must pay for their treatment and must also pay a large fine.

Please vote for this proposal. It is currently the first page on the list of proposals.

Page one, number one. Primo position. It's been sitting there for at least seven hours, and in the queue for three days before that. Let's have a look at who supports this:
Approvals: 23 (Jagonia, Blender, WZ Forums, Vineyard, Clan Steel Wolves, Lord-General Drache, NewTexas, Humanitty, Simeonia, Wenchetyria, Fenure, Grays Harbor, THE RUSSIAN LANDS, Cumhaill, The Hunter Isles, Serine, Lebhaft, Barbariccia, Anti-Margarine, Dimension8472, Radioactivist, Fincand, Ertitania)
Hmm. The might and majesty of WZ Forums stands behind this. That's gotta count for something. Every Delegate who has ever read the list knows the care and wisdom they use when it comes to approvals. The same can be said for about half of the rest of them - the point-and-clicky crowd that will approve everything that floats.

What the hell is NewTexas doing in this one? You Texans need to have a chat with Big Tex. This ain't his style.

Point being, if you've only gotten 23 approvals by this time in the process, it's a lost cause. Hang up your campaign gloves and hit the showers. It's done for.

Yes, they are the point-and-clicky crowd. Of course, that's why I'm sitting here, writing this! And I'm not giving in yet.

Go to the United Nations page. Read through the list of proposal's in waiting. Try and see how many times those names next to yours show up. Realize that this is the company you are currently associating yourself with.

When you're finished crying, come back and I'll attempt to explain to you why reinstating slavery is so wrong on so many levels. Hopefully by then my shock at the idea that anyone could actually consider using the institution of slavery will have worn off, and I can begin trying to wrap my mind around the idea of actually having to debate this.

Not that it really has to be debated, since it will never reach quorum, but I just don't think I can actually let the idea that someone would want to repeal that resolution go.

Slavery has been a beneficial practice for hundreds of years.
Unless you're a slave.

Many great nations of the past were built upon the back of slavery.
Until they became civilized.

Although I do agree that slaves normally have no right to be enslaved, slaves build up economy to amazing levels and often it is possible for them to gain their freedom. Through means like escape, death, etc.

Dear UN Members:

JunoSprite is disguested with this ever getting this far, what happened to human rights, where did they go? People of all nation, origin, and tongue, have rights think about this! The UN has MANY Resolutions to standby this, we cannot let this go, please read the current repeals and look at what the world is becoming.

This isn't to say, our cause is lost, no it's nothing but found. We must fight for our cause, we must make sure that ALL human rights, are stood up for. This isn't to say, we should allow total freedom, but what it is saying is we need to watch what we vote for. Don't go voting for anything, think before you vote, if this repeal is passed it could mean the end of your people's rights to be free. This CANNOT be aloud, do not let it be, please fight for a worthy cause and just think before voting!
