(To elaborate, there is no reason for the citizenry of New Tyrollia to own firearms, our police force keeps us perfectly safe and hunting on state land is illegal. The passing of this resolution would only open the gates for increased violence within our nation.)

Freedom? The only ever use of a hand gun would be an other-regarding harm, so I fail to see how this promotes 'freedom'.

Well, I have a large police force and have even resorted to privacy rights being taken away and my crime rate is STILL astronomically high. Perhaps A little old-fashioned violence visited upon the criminal element by a well-armed mob... er, (ahem) militia will curb the problem. I'm for it. :sniper:

My nation has as much crime as it has guns; none. That works for us we don't want to change it.

The criminal element already has access to firearms in my nation, and the general populace doesn't. THAT'S THE PROBLEM. There is no reason why people should turn to crime when an economy is thriving and the citizenry is well-educated except for pure greed. These animals should be dragged out in the street, hung from the closest tree, stabbed, disemboweled, shot by a firing squad, set on fire and have the corpse kicked around on a football field for awhile. :mad:

This is not suitable for an advanced society such as that of our beloved Fass. Sure, other, primitive societies may have to stoop to such measures, and they are free to do so - we, however, do not have any need for it, nor do we wish such barbarity on ourselves.

Why 18? Why not adults? Children become adults when they turn 14 in TilEnca, so why can't they have guns then?

The United Socialist States of Snoogit is also a gun free nation, and our crime is non existant.

If you are looking for a way to combat crime, perhaps you need to pay attention to your own people.

The president of the Armed Republic of Florida Oranges is a gun nut. That's no secret. In fact, the majority of the Orange population are gun collectors or deer hunters too, and share many of their president's sentiments about cold, steel weapons. But the Orange administration simply cannot support this resolution, as much as we love weapons. When you say all people at or over the age of eighteen have the right to bear firearms and ammunition, essentially you'd even put weapons in the hands of convicted felons, bank-robbers, and rapists! In order for a resolution like this to even be considered, certain restrictions must be put into play. We ask you to rethink this resolution before trying to get it approved once more.
