I would like to discuss the issue that there is no issue. It disturbs me greatly. This website is supposed to relieve the bordom of school. Come on now people, cause a problem so we can outlaw it!!!

If there is an issue worthy of discussion that can get supported, it will become an issue. Otherwise, wait.

If you are talking about the issues you recieve as the Issue of the Day, that is a different thing from the UN.

If you are talking about your nation's issues, you can adjust your settings to two issues a day and make sure not to check the vacation mode.

If you are talking about resolutions and proposals to spellcheck or whine, flame, curse or intelligently debate about, many controversial issues are abound in this forum.

Blah. This website is supposed to relieve the bordom of school. Blah!!!

No it is not. It is also designed to relieve the boredom of work for those people who don't study and end up with boring jobs. When you leave school, you will rapidly discover this is the real definition of boredom and you'll wish you paid more attention at school.

The Issuing Issues Issue Act

Category: Furtherment of Democracy
Strength: Strong
Proposed By:Some Dweeb

Description:

RECOGNIZING the frequent lack of issues present in the UN on numerous occations.

UNDERSTANDING that a lack of issues leads to internation bordom amongst member nations.

The United Nation hereby resolves to do the following:

1. More issues will be accepted at internation levels.

2. These issues can include topics like:
a. What color the restrooms in the UN complex should be painted.
b. The type of bathroom tissue available in the restrooms.
c. The carpet designs used for the UN Council chambers.
d. Whether delegates should be allowed to chew bubblegum in the UN chambers.
e. Illegal grass cutting.
f. Rights to chew bubblegum and walk at the same time.
g. Whether all legislative meetings in all member states should begin meetings by singing ditties from television and radio commercials.
h. Whether AMD or Intel is cooler.
j. Or any such other issue of equal importance.

It is understood that by allowing topics such as these: overall international bordom will be relieved while increasing the excitement of debates in the UN hall.

Just propose a resolution to lower the require number of Regional Delegate votes to move a proposal to a vote. Right now it takes 142, but the highest I see now is around 60. Also, only 48% of UN nations even bothered to vote on the last resolution. Although the real problem looks to be very bad proposal writing and the fact that very few resolutions are ever rejected, leading most people to avoid the UN, as I do. I mean, the UN legalize inter-species marrage! Come on!

A resolution voting rules act would be a good idea. Require at least 55% of nations to vote on a resolution before it can pass(Quorum) and active member nations that fail to vote on 3 resolutions in a row should be ejected.

Gun Control is actually an entire UN resolution category, and many of the other issues could easily fall into Human Rights / Moral Decency or Recreational Drug Use categories.

Illegal, resolutions can't mandate changes in game mechanics.

Well, I had to get it translated, because my chinese is rusty, but here goes:

Only the people in your region can endorse you. If someone comes to your region, endorses you and leaves, you lose the endorsement anyway. You need to go to the proper forum to entice people to come and STAY at your region.

Or you could just come to mine and endorse me :)

Suddenly, Penny Williams, secretary to the Tzar of New Tyrollia, bursts into his office.
"Sir! Our regional delegate has suffered a stroke! She's in critical condition - not expected to make it through the night."
The Tzar took this in slowly and solomenly*."Are you saying this region is now adrift? listliss? With no strong presence in the United Nations council chambers to champion our cause and carry the torch of our people?"
"It would seem so."
"Then ... we must find a new leader! At once! Someone who is strong, eloquent, respected. A paragon of virtue and learning, not just a leader, no, but - a legend!" He paused, dramatically. "Only, where are we to find such a person?"

just then...
i need some endorsments so if u can help me out my region is strongly anti-un so i need some help to have a say in the un move and endorse me and than u can go back ot ur region.........PLZ

"Our peril has ended! Truly, this a day to be remembered in the annals of Tyrollian history!"
