The fact of the matter is, Autistics are clogging up our lives, and will be doomed to cost All the countries in the world $2 - 200 Million per autistic individual.

Sure, there are aspies and high functioning’s, but how many savants have there been to prove anything? Apart from the fact they embarrass the correct neurotypical (i.e. normal) MAN!

Plus, the fact that they're anti-social is enough to prove that this is to do with what the category says!

We will try to make autism aware, but NEGATIVELY aware, plus educating the autistics to make them realise they're wrong will help them cure the mind!

We must increase educational funding in the special needs area, to help isolation of autistics.

It is considered a spectrum disorder, which I have. It is not a disease, but a genetic condition. To do as you say would be a moral decency proposal, as you are asking us to fund research that would allow parents to pick and choose genetic traits for their children. Nor are they all anti-social as you presume, as those suffering from autism spectrum disorder are either overly social (excessive extrovert) or not sociable (introverts), this does not mean the introverts dislike society, it means they prefer not to associate with large groups of people. How is this justice? This mischaracterization warrants deletion.

Also, per our new genocide resolution, this backdoor attempt at such an act is illegal.

Furthermore, you do not distinguish between variants of autism, ie aspergers. Some savants: Einstein, Tesla, and countless others. Why not actually look into the condition before making such a blantant mistake.

I don't seem to have a problem with them in my nation. They don't show up as often among Sarkarasetans as among humans, despite the fact the two species are closely related. Then again, my people did unlock a few... unusual abilities recently, so that may account for it.

I find the study of autistic people helps give an idea of how a species will evolve. From Sarkarasetan historical records on humanity, humans and their relatives don't start having high numbers of autistic people until they are nearing the time in which they will undergo rapid evolution. If you are having a huge problem with autism, maybe you had better start examining your genetic code to see how many centuries you have left before evolution. If you wish, my people can help in that, we we have gotten it down to an error rate of only two decades.

Perhaps what you should realize is autism is not necessarily a bad thing. It is what happens when you have a person whose brain is functioning above its design capacity.

They're only antisocial because, as demonstrated by this proposal, people discriminate against them for being different. I find if you take the time to get to know one, you'd be surprised how much they can observe and how much their minds can run circles around the normal person's. It because of treatment of them that causes them to have to withdraw from society. The fault is that of your people and your government, not those that are autistic.

Lose money? My country has gained a scientific understanding of evolution and brain advancement that has revolutionized major portions of our sciences and is actually going to someday lead to AIs in ships. What money I lose on them is worth the benefits my country gains.

Autism is a disorder. However, except in rare circumstances, it plays little part in the impact of people who suffer it; as most cases of autism are so mild as to take decades to diagnose... and even then, autism has little impact upon them or the people around them.

This proposal is therefore, categorally unjustifiable.


Actually, at this point, a differentiation should be made. Neuopschological dysfunctions fall into categories, subsetted under two headings... "disorders" and "syndromes".... disorders making up the borderline dysfunctional presence of a dysfunction; and syndromes making up mild cases.

For every disorder (Obesessive-Compulsive, Manic-Depresive, Autistic), there is an associated minor version as a syndrome.

Someone suffering from Autistic disorders, are like in the movie "rain-man"... those suffering from the "syndromes" are like Tesla... Disorders are debilitating, syndromes do not play significant impact on the life of the sufferer.

In any case, under either circumstance, the government oversteps its bounds in making judgements upon the individuals. If the Autism exists at levels as to debilitate the human sufferer... they are classed as property of the family, and are subject to the will of their loved ones.... If they are not; they still possess self-ownership, and personhood; and all rights as such....

As such, this proposal is rejected by this Republic.

'Splain something to me, DLE. The coding on Strength is Mild / Significant / Strong, in that order. How can you make it "Strong at least", and why do you suggest Strong (the highest level of strength) for proposals that affect only a tiny minority of any given population?

I see this sort of issue as Mild. It affects only a few, and the effects it proposes (more education) are among the mildest a national government can offer.

A Significant issue would have influence over multiple areas of government or a large section of the population, and would have visible effects to the citizenry on probably a monthly basis.

A Strong issue might cause a nation to disrupt their social structure in very visible ways, would probably have daily effects on everyone in the nation, and otherwise be very disruptive.

My Parents are logical religious christians. They do not consider their agnostic autistic child to be a devil that is to be punished. In fact, they have made several personal sacrifices for that child, so that he is not ostracized by others, and given every opportunity to become a succesful individual in any endeavor he chooses. Thank you for the clarification Tekania. What irks me is that it is classified as a spectrum disorder, and all variants are classified as being a disorder in the eyes of Big Brother.

So, although I am not entirely like rain man, the government (United States Army for one) and those aware of my condition treated me as such when working for them. Always looked at as inferior by those who noticed the words on paper. Despite my being a twenty year old advising Colonels, there was always some ladder climbing captain or major making offhand remarks about having to listen to someone they thought was not mentally fit to be in, or associated with, the military.
