A. Most Countries that follow it are only following it because they are mostly World Powers. World powers follow it because they want other countries to like them more.

B. Small militant and Guarrilla forces do not follow the laws of the Geneva Convention but Demand that other countries follow it when it comes to their own people.

C. Terrorists do not use it and when we have cease-fire they still fire upon us and we cannot fight back. We should always fire if fire uponed. And they use unorthadox methods of fighting but if a non-terriost nation were to use a certain type of weapon they will be flooded by the terriost group about the use of the Geneva COnvetion when they would use the same weapons.

Well, it would thin the herd significantly. Might not be a bad idea. Could involve a cognitive abilities / spelling exam before you are allowed to post.

Well, I've never heard it until yesterday (and I doubt there are many who have regardless of year)...I'm just declaring it "Single Of The Year 1998", since if I heard it when it was released I would have bestowed that title on it.

Confident in the fact that Maubachia has matured to the point of allowed Issue Submission, the 500 Million threshold is not a bad idea for UN proposals as well. Thought really hard about it a couple of times, though I was advised that sometimes it's the older nations making "stoopid" proposals as well.

Also would be nice to have a more user-friendly way to browse proposals, as well as nations and regions.

Could be both. I mean, hey sometimes the General Assembly may have better ideas than us Delegates, so it's possible he'd want the GA to know about everything. Or he's just one of those guys who thinks it's "cool" to vote for everything.

Description: All UN member nations will contribute 1/10 of their special operations and counter terrorism forces to a task force controlled by the UN.

This multi national task force will be able to operate inside any UN nation to hunt and destroy terrorist factions.

Upon acceptance of this resolution they may enter any country wiothout prior approval if they UN Security Council feels there is need for their presence there.

These anti terrorist teams may also enter non-UN countries to eliminate any threats if the Security Council approves the action.

UN member countries may request the assistance of Operation Rainbow members to combat threats to their country from within or without.

All member countries will pull their weight by contributing the same percentage of their troops to this task force and will also be responsible for their share of the funds for traiing, transporting, and maintaing this task force. No longer will some countries bear the burnt of UN operations while other sit back and enjoy the benefits.

It is from now on, also the United Nations vote to how much money can be spent per year on The Law enforcment agencies.

Article III- Education.
Another issue at hand, is that the youth of today are too uneducated. To stop this, it is proposed that the United Nations make it so that nations spend a certain amount of money on Education, this percentage will obviously change due to the fact some countries make less money, so it should be a fair percentage. Think Children first.

RECOGNISING THAT all UN nations are required by law to enforce resolutions that are passed;

ACKNOWLEDGING the sovereignty of each nation;

1. THIS RESOLUTION SEEKS to encourage responsibility of Regional Delegates as well as the governments of every UN member nation.

2. THIS HOUSE DECLARES that before voting on any proposal and resolution, every member will diligently peruse the said proposal and resolution.

3. In cases where members are conversant on the subject matter, members should share facts as well as opinions on the matter in the forum.

4. In cases where members are not familiar with the subject matter, they should undertake research to gain a minimal level of understanding, or peruse contributions from knowledgeable members in the forum.

5. Members who are already familiar with previous resolutions should enlighten more recent participants on current legislation related to the subject matter. New members of the UN are encouraged to review past passed resolutions.

If this resolution is carried out by letter and in spirit, it would go a long way toward eliminating the redundancies and inefficiencies that are currently a part of the UN, and would provide for a more responsible body, on a whole.

Description: It is my belief that during the christmas period, people may wish to get merry in different ways. As such, I propose that from the period 23rd December 2004- 3rd january 2005 all illegal drugs should be made available over the counter, with 50% taxation, which could be pumped back into every nations health education and other vital areas. Furthermore, there should be legalization of cannabis, in a form such as rolling tobacco, all year round in order to generate more funds vital for the economy, and also to reduce drug crime (if its legalisedits not a crime- thus figures go down and our police loook good).
In addition to these i propose that any drug dealer caught dealing near a school should be given a minimum prison sentence of 12 years
