The hell with legalizing pot. Lets legalize everything. :)
1) All controlled substances acts are hereby repealed. Thereby, making every form of street drugs legal to posess. Basically much the same rules that apply to alcohol and tobacco would apply to cocaine, marijuana, opiates and every other street drug.
You can grow/synthesize your own for personal consumption but in order to sell you need a license and a business.
2) Prescription medicine is still prescription only but are not illegal to posess without a prescription.
It would need to be a semi-complex resolution. I would write one myself but I'm not good at this sorta thing. :confused:

The Federation of Aligned Planets, as a UN Delegate, will never support such legislation. There are no defined benefits to our Region, Sol Sector, nor to any other regions in NationStates.
What exactly are you hoping you achieve with this Resolution? What would the repercussions be?

Nevadastan will support such a bill, but for reasons some view as machiavellian.
I believe that legalizing all drugs for a period of 10 years would rid the population of the most unintelligent members of our society. And they should be affordable and available to all adults.
They will not however recieve any type of public assistance upon their deaths, and will not burden our public health institutions.
We kill two birds with one stone. We save Social Security dollars and rid ouselves of the mutants that inhabit our society by letting them kill themselves off.

I was thinking about legalizing drugs, selling them in the same way as alcohol and tobacco are now and using the tax money for good things. Like building drug rehab centers, drug education(not prevention) and crisis hotlines. :)

This proposal doesn not have my support. It is an addictinve drug worse than Tobacco due to its effects, it causes cancer faster, and who the hell wants to look like an addict anyway?
