Description: This Act would bring about a new technological revolution. Although in the beginning it would put a difficult strain on buisnesses, in the long run it will provide for a stronger economy. The first thing this will do is it will provide new ways of searching for alternative feuls. Scondly, it will help humans colonize space. Third, it will give consumers more interesting new products for their use. This act will make all governments in the UN to provide funding for a new space initiative.

By ... ummmm ... blasting all our nasty polluting corporate money into space-based endeavors?

By ... ummmm ... making long term plans to remove the one horrible nasty infestation that plagues our planet - the people?

By ... ummmm ... well ... ummmm ... space is an environment too! Yeah, that's it.

I'm not much for socialist based acts... Though if you submitted something more losely based upon GEDRA (The Galactic Exploration, Defense, and Research Alliance) I would support it... While it's mostly related to FT, I'm sure Articles 1-3 could be toned and modified into more MT versions.

One this proposal: How about no. Big no. Very big no. With four exclamation marks for emphasis.

No it wouldn't. I travel nearly 2000 lightyears from my home just to have the pleasure of crushing certain resolutions and shaping the destiny of the UN to my liking.

Although in the beginning it would put a difficult strain on buisnesses, in the long run it will provide for a stronger economy.

What strain? The strain of thinking in a new direction? They'll jump on it faster than you will.

The first thing this will do is it will provide new ways of searching for alternative feuls.

There's not much in space that doesn't already exist or has not already been replicated on Earth. All of the stuff you need for new alternatives you either have to invent or will have better than by the time you find it in space. Earth is just in a sucky position when it comes to spacial resources.

Scondly, it will help humans colonize space.

Humans have already done that. In fact, I was due to go to war with a human spacial empire awhile back.

Third, it will give consumers more interesting new products for their use.

In what way?

This act will make all governments in the UN to provide funding for a new space initiative.

Why? I'm already in space. I've already colonized two other worlds. Plus, this goes against my laws for how to interact with nonspace races. If you want raw materials, I'll provide those.

It is "NationStates." No one said the nations had to be on Earth or, for those that are, that they had to be on the same Earth. This game has 7 Earths that I know of in addition to empires on other worlds.

No kidding, the Constitutional Republic of Tekania occupies it's own home planet, a lunar colony, and one planetary colony, as well as a massive station in Planetary orbit.
