Repeal "Protect Historical Sites"A proposal to repeal a previously passed resolution
Category: Repeal
Resolution: #15
Proposed by: Ocean County NJ
Description: UN Resolution #15: Protect Historical Sites (Category: Environmental; Industry Affected: All Businesses) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.
Argument: UN Resolution 15 is a very fine proposal and the idea is the right direction we need to take to make sure the world's most historical sites are preserved and well kept for. We must revise this proposal, to take it to the next level so the resolution is as strong as possible. Sometimes, even when these sites are kept up to there fullest, they must be taken down for the safety of citizens and the surroundings. Most of these buildings are very old and their structural condition deteriorating. So Ocean County, NJ proposes this-
-We, the UN Nations must keep the central part of this resolution in place- not to knock down these great buildings just for a new office building. -We must take this to the next step, by allowing destruction of these buildings only if they MUST be knocked down for structural and safety concerns, but a replica of the building must be erected in its site incase of destruction
So this is in NO WAY against saving great buildings, but to also protect the well being of our citizens and surroundings areas.
