Most of you know that this is a resolution that needs to be passed. The last few resolutions have been nothing more than speeches that one would give to a junior high civics class. No understanding of the issues and no real resolve to cure the problem.

Repealment
A resolution to increase democratic freedoms.

Category: The Furtherment of Democracy
Strength: Strong
Proposed by: Gesing

Description: WHEREAS, Participation in any form of world or international government threatens a nation's sovereignty and its citizens;

WHEREAS, The sovereignty of individual rights is preserved only by minimal government, and subservience to a world government is totalitarianism of a more severe form than to a national government.

WHEREAS, This United Nations has repeatedly proposed and passed resolutions that infringe upon the rights of its sovereign member nations.

WHEREAS, This United Nations has repeatedly proposed and passed resolutions that do not remotely resemble resolutions and/or are so nonsensical, unintelligble, or grammatically deficient that said resolutions cannot be correctly interpreted or enforced.

It is hereby RESOLVED, that each and every United Nations Resolution is hereby REPEALED and rendered NULL and VOID.

WOW! You actually submitted that! Did you read the FAQ about the UN before you joined?

You did?

How long have you been here?

Well it's nice to know that you know better then us.

By the way; I'm betting 'junior high civics class' is an American thing. I'm not an American thing. I'm not the only non-American thing on this website so I'm betting it's not just me that was confused by that. Same with me saying 'Year Seven PSE', it's confusing and sort of rude.

WHEREAS, This United Nations has repeatedly proposed and passed resolutions that infringe upon the rights of its sovereign member nations.

...So then the UN cannot pass ANY LAWS ON ANYTHING. Way to go, sparky.

My country has a right to kill off violent criminals. My country has a right to take all of the money from its citizens. ...If that was passed, the UN could do diddly-squat about it! My country has a RIGHT to have millions of nuclear weapons and who is the UN to say I cannot! It would be infringing upon my rights!

You obviously have not thought it through and are just acting in such a way because you are against gay marriages. Just shut the hell up already and deal with it... Or leave.
