Is anyone in favor of making it mandatory that UN resolutions actually be written using the protocol of the real UN? It would make things seem a whole lot official.

The last Real UN proposal I read was 30 pages long. Most people on here don't read proposals past the first paragraph, or even just the name in some cases.
Also, that's a change of game rules and would not be legal to try. But you asking before actually submitting a proposal was a very good idea.
Is there not an official format for proposals here? Is it enforced already?

Sort of. There is a basic format provided by the game structure, but the actual text of U.N. resolutions is very malleable. Many UN delegates have gotten together and agreed upon general conventions for proposals (ie. AFFIRMS etc.), but those are not enforced by the Game Moderators.

Eh, as much as I wish there was, I'm hesitant to say that the Moderation staff actually enforces any type of writing style for UN proposals/resolutions, as evident from sifting through the ones that have passed.
Well the major problem is that you cant ammend resolutions after they have been submitted. I meant as a problem in that, the resolution is a great idea, but there are a few spelling mistakes. Also, the official language is usually wrung out by opposing factions. Where enforce is too strong a word and support is too weak, so they have to work out a wording that fits everybody. As you can see in the ones that passed they all say support or suggest or approves or any other somewhat general wording usually. I mean no one actually adds a part for punishment in case of violation.
