Dear all UN Delegates,

Please support my proposal for a phase-out of Fossil Fuels in cars, power plants, and factories. This will make the Earth once again a cleaner and overall better (and healthier) place to live! Voting Ends Tonight! It is titled "Reduction of Fossil Fuels Use."

Reduction of Fossil Fuels Use
A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental
Industry Affected: All Businesses
Proposed by: Ocean County NJ

Description: Today most of the world's air pollution comes from the burning of fossil fuels. Cars burn natural gas, 70% of the world's energy comes from fossil fuel burning plants, and most of the world's factories get their power from oil, coal, and natural gas. All of these uses emitt harmful pollutants into the air that can create smog, acid rain and contribute to global warming. Smog is not only very bad to breathe but it poses risks to aircraft due to low visibility. Acid rain kills animals that ingest the harmful water including scores of fish which die each year due to polluted rivers, lakes, and streams. Very quickly the world is running out of oil, gas and coal. Our oil and gas reserves are probably going to be gone within the next sixty years. We still have plenty of coal left (equating to probably 175 years) but coal is by far the dirtiest of the three. This resolution will ban fossil use in all power plants after 2020, in all cars after 2025, and in all factories after 2029. While this gas in cars, using gas and electricity (hybrids) will be legal until 2035. This gives a lot of time to switch over to hydrogen cars, and much more reliable and cleaner sources of electricity. Large factories most likely will have a new power source by 2029. This resolution means with the present laws and resolutions that renewable power sources will make up about 20% of the world's power producers by 2020. Another crucial part of this resolution is the fact that we will sextruple the role of nuclear power's use in the global power scene. While this may make people a little uneasy- Nuclear Fission is the cleanest and most reliable energy source in the world today. The only emittent into the atmosphere is water vapor (not harmful- its water!) and fission produces and amazing amount of energy and is cheap! We also can even produce synthetic uranium which will not take anything from tye environment. Many companies around the globe have presented reactor designs that will be virtually meltdown proof. For example one new design has uranium encased in pellets in a titanium shell. This design can withstand temperatures of up to about 3000 f. The max. temperature physically possible is only about 1600 F. For security against outside attacks, 200 army troops will be situated at every plant. The containment structures these reactors are encased in can withstand the impact of a commercial airliner! Even without safer reactor designs these containment structures can withstand a massive meltdown inside of them too. This resolution will mean a much cleaner, and overall a better Earth for today, tomorrow and beyond to prosper in.

1) Badly written. Use paragraphs next time. As it is, I can't tell exactly what you want.
2) Fossil fuels are no longer used in cars among UN members. You would know this if you read the passed resolutions.
3) There is no evidence it will actually do that from what I see here. For one, gasoline is not the only polluting fuel used. For two, the clean alternatives are not viable for mass use due to their extreme limitations. For three, the viable alternatives are all even more destructive in what they can do.
4) Now is too late if it has less than 100 delegates supporting to campaign. You won't get enough in time.
