Compulsory Death Penalty

The black clouds

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights
Strength: Strong
Proposed by: The black clouds

Description: LESS RIGHTS FOR CRIMINALS, MORE RIGHTS FOR DECENT CITIZENS -

People should feel safe in their own homes; a compulsory death penalty could be seen as a step back in democracy but will greatly reduce crime:

-Law offenders will be executed by the state if found guilty of murder

-Life imprisonment will now mean life

-Law offenders do not have the freedom to apply for compensation if under trial themselves

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

You should have posted this in the other thread. You'll find we don't have the time or inclination to search through hundreds of proposals for just one just because you want us to.

Most criminals are also citizens. Unless you're in my nation.

People should feel safe in their own homes; a compulsory death penalty could be seen as a step back in democracy but will greatly reduce crime:

Or will create greater crime as the people revolt.

-Law offenders will be executed by the state if found guilty of murder

Agreed.

-Life imprisonment will now mean life

Is this really necessary? As an addition, I mean.

-Law offenders do not have the freedom to apply for compensation if under trial themselves

Anyone besides me see this as horribly, horribly wrong?

So a police officer takes the criminal into a back room, forcibly sodomizes him, and then beats him with a stick until the criminal is unconcious. But because he's on trial, he can't sue. Man, that's twisted and sick.

I cannot support this because of the extreme amounts of abuse it allows.

How stupid-not everyone deserves death. What if the murder was in self defense? Or it was a case of involuntary manslaughter? I say keep things as they are-capital punishment shall only be an option for first-degree murders, and a jury must decide weather to implement it or not.

And, you want to completely destroy the appeal process. What if new evidence is found that dissasociates the convicted "perpatrator" with the crime that he/she is said to have committed? You'd rather let innocent people rot in jail than let justice be served? How idiotic.

And, you never once mention any supposed "rights for decent citizens" in this proposal. All it does is take rights away from the accused.

I would never agree to such a proposal.
