Description: UN Resolution #12: Gay Rights (Category: Human Rights; Strength: Strong) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: The U.N. shall not be able to impose/force a certain viewpoint on all nations. The issue of Gay Rights shall be up to the disgression of the specific nation. Especially when regarding to the issue of Gay marrige. The people of the certain nation shall vote on the issue.

This repeal if enacted would give the power to decide the issue of Gay Marriage to the people of the nation. Since it is a peoples rights issue, why not let the people vote on it?

Two things.

First: why the "no comments please" line? This is the UN forum. Comments is what we do. If you're not willing to discuss your reasoning, then why should we be willing to suppport it?

Second: I wish people would stop posting repeals by Number. We didn't memorize the table. Most of us refer to topics by name, not number. This is something that has started up in recent days following the repeal provisio, and it's not helpful.

I'd like to request that UN Forum posters refer to proposals by NAME, not NUMBER.
