I call on my fellow UN members to please support the UN proposal made by Lamp Monsters, "UN qualifications." It calls for a repeal for the rule that says that a nation needs 2 endorsements to make a proposal. This is a rediculous rule. Please vote on it if you are a delegate. Thank you.

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you - proposals and resolutions that attempt to change the game itself are illegal under the rules of the game and will be ignored/deleted, and the person who proposes them can be kicked out of the UN for doing so.

Just so as you know :}

(Note - I am not part of the game or UN staff - I just know this cause I asked before I tried to do something in the same area)

I agree it is ridiculous. I would like to see 5 or 6 endorsements. We are getting way too many poorly written and almost undecipherable proposals. We need to make it more difficult to present a proposal. Or even better allow negative votes to proposals where the voter says the idea may have merit, but the proposal is so poorly written it should be rejected.

I think needing 137 approvals on a proposal is a little much.

Not at all. A resolution that is worthwhile and well-formulated will get the attention it deserves. Look at the current Reformed Literacy Initiative. It's one of perhaps 6 current proposals whose content is not utterly imbecilic (Compulsory Meat Eating?), and one of 2-3 whose style and format is fitting for a new resolution. Result? It gets 153 approvals. So there.

My region only has 5 UN members. By doing this, you would cut out (I suspect) VERY large numbers of nations from creating proposals. Whilst it might reduce the number of proposals, I doubt that the impact on quality would be great, and you'd be cutting off lots of nations that do have something worthwhile to offer.

Game mechanics change. Don't use the UN to propose this.
