Simply put, I do not believe it is within the bounds of the UN to dictate national educational policy. Why sixteen, for instance? Why at all? The UN must observe and respect the sovereignty and autonomity of member nations, and this resolution clearly does the opposite.

We from the Rockin ferrous Galvanic Hive of Powerhungry Chipmunks believe that it is within the UN's jurisdiction to legislate upon national education policy, within reasonable limitations. We believe this because education and the growing up process is something that everyone has to go through and something that everyone has a right to have performed upon them (sorry about that construction, all you middle schooler's afraid of what anatomy class is like...) correctly. With the young, there must always be special rights awarded, in order to ensure their ability to mature into adults equitably (such as the banning of pedophilia, for instance).

The peoples republic of New Brenakia also believes it is well within the UN's authority to regulate education standards throughout member nations. This capitalist pig doggery must end, all peoples deserve an education, regardless of their economic postion. The UN must ensure that all peoples are free and safe, education is the first step.

Yes, the UN has every right to insist that children are given a good start in life.

The Republic of Democratic-Midgar is also completely behind the legislation in place. In fact, some members of our Government, including oneself, belief that not enough is being done to help higher education and that a proposal of higher education must be drafted soon.
