Too many of the proposals are redundant and depressingly serious. We need something better... something happier.

This is my first resolution since return to the UN. ;) be nice and endorse it please.

Laughter's Cure
A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights
Strength: Mild
Proposed by: Kryozerkia

Description: I hereby propose that the UN make a week devouted to just laughter, humour and comedy. Laughter is considered a form of therapy. Plus it makes us better people because we aren't always depressed. This will improve human rights because we'll be happier.

Victor Frankl or some famous philosopher like him was in the hospital with cancer. He was told he only had weeks to live. He rented videos (this was a few years ago) of the Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers.

He watched them for hours every night.

He laughed until he cried.

He got better!

So yeh, what you said.

I will support this resolution although a little more detail would be quite wonderful.

I'd also like to see a better write up of this, but in the name of good humor, I will also lend my support to this. May we all not take ourselves seriously.

This looks very similar to 'Freedom of Humor'...

Let's have everyone who posts here add a joke.

"Ralph Nader has criticized both Bush and Kerry for belonging to a secret organization when they went to Yale. You know, is Nader really one to criticize? He belongs to a secret organization. It's called 'Nader for president.' Anybody know anybody in this club?"
