I'm gonna do this the polite way, for a change. Go search for "poker" under proposals, and approve the "Poker for Everyone" proposal. (It's a proposal to make the entire world play poker, because poker is cool). Also search for "dangerous", and please approve the "Ban Dangerous Technologies" proposal. It's about time we started limited those pesky civil rights.

Please.

Work with us to abolish civil rights and all but halt social advancement. They are merely tools used by the underlings of our great civilizations, tools used to subvert our efforts to gain prosperity and wealth. We know what is best, and we will choose such. The pawns of the empire will continue to pay tribute to us, and tribute is as much input as they will have.

Well, just to get this moving, I've found them myself:

Poker for Everybody

A resolution to legalize or outlaw gambling.

Category: Gambling
Legalize/Outlaw: Legalize
Proposed by: ShoverBots

Description: WHEREAS,
Poker is pretty fun, and

WHEREAS,
They show poker on TV now, and

WHEREAS,
Anything on TV is by definition good,

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED
That everyone in the whole wide world should play poker.

Approvals: 2 (Primaina, Heimlichsburg)

Status: Lacking Support (requires 133 more approvals)

Voting Ends: Tue Sep 14 2004

Sorry, a joke proposal has got to be a whole lot funnier than this for me not to see it as a waste of time and an annoyance.

Ban Dangerous Technologies

A resolution to restrict political freedoms in the interest of law and order.

Category: Political Stability
Strength: Mild
Proposed by: The Pointing Monkey

Description: The risk in this day for a hacker to break into a goverment's computer system to launch a nuclear missle, change criminal records, and edit monetary records is extremely high. This proposal will limit the types of computers and other technologies that UN nation citizens have access too. This should effectively stop all potentially dangerous activities from occuring and as a result, the world overall will be much safer and secure.

Approvals: 1 (Multan)

Status: Lacking Support (requires 134 more approvals)

Voting Ends: Tue Sep 14 2004

Aside from ideological objections, two points:
Utterly unspecific - it doesn't say exactly what technologies will be denied to citizens
Ridiculous - in order to "stop all potentially dangerous activities from occuring", you'd need to deny humans access not only to almost any and all technologies, but their own bodies - obviously, we can do quite a bit of damage even in hand-to-hand combat.

Sorry, a joke proposal has got to be a whole lot funnier than this for me not to see it as a waste of time and an annoyance. So any-way, a proposal walked into a bar, and ...

Oh, a joke proposal, not a ... well, the other way round ...

* Dammit .

;)

* Come to think of it, I have seen poker on T.V. It was a fire-poker and this woman slapped her husband over the head with it till he was dead. Hmmm, don't know if I want to legalise that, " good " or not ...

That way we can ban anything we want. It's really a brilliant loop-hole.

Not quite and quite so. Anyone can argue for, against, or neither a stance on such an inspecific resolution.
