Outlaw Piracy

Hataria

Piracy or robbery on the High Seas is the most Evil, Horrorfic form of TEREORISM ever.

Pirates attack ships, steal countless cargoes, and sometimes kill the crews of any ship they attack

The United Nations must.

(I)Outlaw ALL forms of Piracy.

(II)Inforce The Law of The Sea and Protect ships and their crews.

(III)Inforce The Death penaly for Pirates, death by Hanging.

(IV) Build up naval forces to help fight Piracy in all seas of the world.

Just out of curiousity, does this have anything to do with the fact that Canan, Itinerate Tree Dwellers, DontPissUsOff and more than a few others have kicked your butt in every naval roleplay you've ever attempted?

And isn't it just a bit hypocritical to post against piracy when you supposedly have your own Privateer Fleet (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=6857523&postcount=54) in Northern Hataria?

Just wondering.

Maybe so, Fris, but if I were a regional delegate to the UN, I would vote for an anti-pirating regulation.

There currently is no Law of the Sea as passed by the NationStates UN.

The Council of Enn cannot support a proposal that advocates the death penalty.

Since piracy by definition is already illegal, outlawing it is just useless rhetoric.

Its spelled enforce. Horrific. Terrorism.
The way you have these words spelled, it might not pass.
Correct the spelling and add the penalty of being tossed over board in the middle of the ocean, and add the right of nations to sanction other nations that support, directly or indirectly, pirates, and I will vote for this when it comes up for vote. Its a great idea whose time has come.

But maybe there should be one...
*a small lightbulb appears over the Delegate from East Hackney's head and goes ding!*

We passed this ideas to our admiral of the fleet, Cap'n Sanggletooth Bob Bloodbucket and he replied as follows:

Arrrrrr, me spies a landlubbers proposal me hearties, if they be thinking they can outlaw me buccaneering way o'life, then the bilge rats they be up fer a keelhauling. Shiver me timbers......

He then 'weighed anchor and set sail in search of a buxom wench n' a chest o'pieces o'eight......'

Our glorious leader thinks that he advised against supporting this, especially with the imminent approach of International Talk like a Pirate Day:

Uh...yeah, sure it is...- because robbery is worse than mass murder...

(I)Outlaw ALL forms of Piracy.

Try defining piracy - actually explain exactly what we are outlawing.

(II)Inforce The Law of The Sea

What "Law of the Sea"?

and Protect ships and their crews.

This doesn't say to what extent protection is needed - do we have to send a UN defensive escort along with every ship?

(III)Inforce The Death penaly for Pirates, death by Hanging.

We don't have the death penalty for robbery on land, why should it be any different on water?

This is the single clearest post the author has ever written on NS. He even used punctuation. Just this once (knowing this has zero chance of passage) I'm willing to cut him some slack.

This isn't a half bad idea. Give me some time, I can turn this into a proper resolution.
