For Immediate Release

UNITED NATIONS (TPC), 18 August - A statement issued by UNSC Chairman of the Board Samson Jacobin indicated today that the UN Space Consortium was seeking a national representative from a country outside the organization to fill the position of the body's Chief Executive of Operations. Jacobin notes that the individual to fill this position will be responsible for guiding the Consortium's decisions on contracting, production, delivery, scheduling, and facility management.

Jacobin indicated that governments of all nations would be welcomed to submit an application for an individual within their administration to fill the position, but the application would have to receive endorsement from a present member of the UNSC Board of Directors to be validated and considered. The application process will continue over the course of the next five days, after which the Consortium Board will deliberate and issue its hiring decision.

Have you considered posting a list of nations that apply here? I say this, because there are a few nations that should my nation see applying would like to write letters of recommendation for. :)

Easily done, Mik: as of yet, our own Dr. Camille Dead River is the only applicant for the position.

That nation is only 10 million "cultural influence" old. No surprises there. ::rollseyes::

Though I'd like to point out that their ambassador has purposefully misquoted an international report in the whaling debate and should be viewed as hostile. I'd be curious to see the application. Is it the same ambassador that plagues us with his presence?

John Wood of "Infinite Hoarding" is interested in the prospect of becomming the UNSC CEO. John Wood, while an importaint decsion maker in the internal processes of "Infinite Hoarding", has always fought for the scientific truth, but also for prospects for people and industry relating to the exploration of space. "Infinite Hoarding", under the representation of John Wood, has also fought the unwashed nation of "Mikitivity", which has been adamant in the distortion of facts and claiming things are "researched" and "well thought out", when the only content of his arguments is links to unrelated materials and verbosity. John Wood will, under his supervision, bring the international conglomerates, but also other NGO's and govornment organizations to support this worthy cause, and to possibly even find an Earth 3. While these goals are certainly optimistic, John Wood finds that they are the most worthy, and that the ends will justify the means. Thank you for your time, and please consider my application.

I wasn't too pleased personally by the references to you, Mik, so I replied naturally with the following:

Personally I would have a hard time working with a nation in ideological opposition to Mikitivity. The Commonwealth has been a staunch cooperative ally of theirs for the longest of time, and the nation graciously deigned to play host to the UNCIAT International Conference on Illicit Arms Trafficking. Moreover, representatives of Mikivity are earnest, sincere, and compassionate individuals who speak with sound reasoning and have the most genuine of human interests at heart during their work with the UN. Any who would indict such a noble nation who has served only to strengthen the UN while placing a bid for employment here at the UNSC, despite the two having no immediate relation to each other, will not only not receive the support of the Commonwealth, but will be staunchly opposed in hiring deliberations.

If there is ever a vote for "Nation Most Likely To Attract the Attention of Newbie UN Trolls" I sure hope you guys consider my nation a gold medal contender. ;)

That said, here is a link to my nation's most recent complaint about John Wood:

Fortunately, my nation is happy with the application of Dr. Camille Dead River of Rehochipe, and feels no need to apply to the position.

With that in mind, applications to the UNSC should focus on space sciences and management, not the ability to post in the UN. If an applicatant has an interest in space, he / she should demostrate both a willingness to promote that interest on an international level and the ability to effectively manage an international organization dedicated to space issues. Applications that don't focus on the issue at hand are most certainly questionable.

My nation applauds your response.
