Where are all the good proposals?

Its no wonder that there are no resolutions up for vote considering the poor quality of the proposals at the minute. As well as the usual line-up of "legalise prostitution/gay marriage/cannabis and "bill of rights" proposals (does no-one read the list of resolutions passed before posting their proposals?) we get wierd stuff like this:

"Tooshie Grabbers
A resolution to restrict civil freedoms in the interest of moral decency.
Description: More people these days so why don,t they be locked up and fined or something. Women are harrassed this way then any other so why isn't anyone doing anything"

I mean, WTF?
Someone, please think of a proposal that makes sense and hasn't been done before!

Seriously, what can you expect to happen if you don't attempt to take a hand in fixing it?

The vast, and believe me, I do mean vast, majority of proposals are submitted by people who are either a) morons, or b) confused innocent souls. Neither type cares to read approved resolutions or the forums, and because of that the same old stuff will always be lingering around. The only thing we can do is make a concious effort to put forth proposals that don't suck, and go on from there.

I just started yesterday and I'm pretty sure my proposal is to your liking on a more serious subject. I mean, I'm open to ideas as to how to change it to make it even stronger, I enjoy the dynamics that emerge when you chose to play this game seriously, and I've noticed there are far too many players out there who chose not to, and it's disheartening to someone like me who just started the game and wants to see other players who take it as seriously as himself.

I agree with everyone so far on this. It is very frustrating. I believe that we would have much more participation in the proposals are if their wasn't as much trash. Its extremely difficult to get a resolution to quorum, and requires alot of work, and this is a major cause of it.

Both are good, both are pretty. Both want your love and affection. And their bloody well written too. Tell your delegates. And live, happily ever after.

And as a UN Delegate for six months in 2003, believe me when I say that it's quite a bit better now than it used to be.
