I am new at this, so bare with me ;-)

Cat:I think human rights
Child Support

Desc When most men have sex, I know alot of them don't wear condoms. Which results in babies. I know your saying what this have to do with Child Support?(I know do tho). When a man see a baby, what do they do? They run away leaving the mother behind to rise the children. I for one hate to see a child growing up not knowing who there father is. I be believe that the government should give the mother 3 months supply of baby stuff to get her start and little bit of money. And if they find the father within a year and a half. They government will make him pay child support plus 15% more. If he refuses then he will spend 3yrs in prison and still have to pay child support. To all my UN please accpet this proposal. I will help out the community in alot of ways

Sorry for my grammar, but hey I said bare with me :-\

As for the grammar and spelling, do you have MS Word? If you or a friend does, you can copy your proposal into MS Word or another word processor and it will help find some mistakes.

As for the category, that is a hard question. You are doing two things with your proposal:

(1) Providing welfare for children whos fathers have run out on them. This would be Social Justice.

(2) You are setting up a penalty for the fathers for not providing finacial support, and though at first I was tempted to call is Moral Decency, I'm now convinced it too is the "enforcement" section of a welfare program.

Though I don't like strong or significant "strength" proposals, the fact that you are really suggesting a legal change and prison terms should IMHO mean your idea is "strong".

Just a general rule of thumb (my opinion), if a resolution is specifically setting up a welfare program, it is more often than not a Social Justice, not Human Rights issue. Human Rights issues are things like the Gay Rights, Religious Tolerance, or Child Labor NS UN resolutions. They are more statements than programs.

Having surveyed all the prior resolutions, there are a number of resolutions that I feel really don't match their correct categories. The two most frequent categories look to be Human Rights and Environmental, though when reading the resolutions, many of the Human Rights resolutions probably should have been Social Justice resolutions, for example Increased Access to Medicine (which I feel is a pretty well thought out resolution ... the author made the actual laws and programs choosen by countries vague ... and the resolution passed with a 4.7 margin).

It is easy to mix up Human Rights and Social Justice.

The one I'm waiting for is the day somebody places an "Environmental Justice" resolution in the Environmental category, which I can see a case being made for, though Environmental Justice is its very own sort of creature, which kinda blends Human Rights and Social Justice around an Environmental hot issue.

Also the Environmental category should really have had a Beef and Pharm. industries as other options. Agriculture would have been the last option, but these are points for NS2.

Hmmm, its a good idea, not bad at all.

The stuff there - in can allow any-body to compose a bang up proposal, it gives you the do and don't lines as well as how to set it out, and how to say it. Tells you what we can do, what we can't and what will make your nation be stuffed into a sack in the dead of night and driven away not to be heard from again.

And yes, spell checkers are your friend, ;)

Hope that helps you.
