Dear Fellow United Nations Members:
I come before you today as one of your newest members, as the Delegate from the Armed Republic of Heilpern, asking you to please reconsider your vote in the most recent, UN resolution to ban "trafficing" people. Although the bill has good intentions, I feel it is neccessary to consider all of the long lasting effects. If this resolution was passed, women engaging in prostitution would be free of an criminal reprucussions. While steps should be taken to ensure that no man, woman, or child is forced into an sexual relation, we should not build a wall that women acting upon their own accord could potentially, and will, hide behind. The resolution should be redrafted to protect all individuals, regardless of their gender, and should, within it, contain provisions that would not decriminalize those women willingly engaging in infedility. It is a noble thought, but one that must be reconsidered.
I urge all those who have already cast their votes, to reconsider the side of the fence they have chosen, and to those of you who have yet to cast your vote, please turn down the resolution. Our countries need stability, and this resolution has far too many holes that we cannot turn a blind eye to. Thank you for your time.
