Okay this is going to start out pretty rough. The idea behind this is to encourage the preservation of currently endangered species through breeding in captivity and through stopping the destruction of habitat (or at least slowing it down).
General Assembly,
FULLY AWARE of the multitude of life which exists on the planet,
REALIZING our duty, as fellow residents of the planet, to maintain and preserve this multitude of life present,
PERIPHERALLY NOTING the current rate at which endangered species and the habitat in which the live are being destroyed,
NOTING FURTHER the ways which may be enacted to keep this loss of ecologic diversity,
1) IDENTIFIES the UN member nations as responsible for the undertakings required as sensible and conscientious co-inhabitants of the planet;
2) ENCOURAGES the use of breeding in captivity (as well as entailed reintroduction to the wild) as a means of restoring populations of endangered species in member nations;
3) CALL UPON all member nations to halt mindless deforestation and any other reckless destruction of habitats of endangered and non-endangered species alike;
4) DIRECTS nations to examine through comprehensive scientific studies the causes and effects that the said nations have upon the environment within the nation's boundaries;
5) REQUIRES that all member nations put forth an honest effort in reducing the damage done to endangered species, their habitats and the world at large.
