People would take your proposal more seriously if you posted here.

Even more people would take you seriously if you followed the generally accepted rules of begging for support on a proposal. First and foremost, if you're going to ask someone if they like your proposal, post a copy of it here in the forum. It really isn't our responsibility to dig through the archives of existing legislation because you're lazy.
Also, rarely does having a poll increase the support for your proposal. In fact, more often than not, it just harms your credibility. More often than not, only inexperienced representatives use polls on any regular basis. By and large, being considered a "newbie" is bad luck for your proposal.

No need to be so harsh on the guy for a few diplomatic mistakes everyone makes. We were all newbies, once.
His proposal ought to be judged on its own strength, not the way he introduced it.
I believe that by endorsing the drug cartels, and drug rings, we will actually create a cleaner safer world. If they are legalized then they must follow the legal restrictions on the substance. This way people will not be overdosing on what they thought was a much less harmful drug and will not only know what they are buying but also they will know it will not have any life threatening afects. The government will impose a tax on the drugs and use the funding for drug use prevention and awarness, and clean needle programs.
I've never been much of one to subscribe to the "fight evil by endorsing" it route, but this has worked in several countries and if done competently can have good results. However, I can't say that I have faith in every member nation to respond competently, and I fear that it will only end up harming their citizens on the UN's mandate.
It has my approval at the moment, but I would probably vote against it were it to come to vote before the general assembly.
