Description: Organized Crime is an ever increasing problem. Bootlegging, racketeering and murder plaugue cities. Crime families often avoid taxes and have high political connections which make it easy for them to operate.

1. First and foremost, identify crime bosses and their repspective families. Target them and their connections to the legitimate world.

2. Limit power of the families and force operations to become legitimate. If families do not comply a hearing will be held and trials will be set.

3. Regulations to outlaw the practices of Bootlegging, racketeering, illegal arms trade and prostitution will be enacted.

4. Police forces will be bolstered and better equipped to meet the demands of ridding these illegal activites.

5. Also identify Illegal gambling associated with crime families and target these places of business. Gambling licenses will be revoked.

6. Known tax evaders will be forced to pay back taxes and serve possible jail time.

how do you all feel about this one?

Passing a law is not going to work.

Murder is illegal and it still happens.

Look at the results of prohibition in the US and the ongoing worldwide war on drugs.

If people want to sell and buy sex, narcotics, and armaments, let them and tax them.

The results are more beneficial than the alternative.

The UN was conceived to resolve international politics. It was not created to determine the way nations govern themselves. To use the UN in such a manner violates the sovereignty every nation should have. By definition, when a nation's sovereignty is taken away it ceases to be that nation in all but name. E Pluribus Unum.

Actually I tend to agree, but only on the condition that governments have to follow through with their actions, though simple taxation isn't the only solution. Those taxes must be spent wisely, and it should be clear now that my nation is a huge proponent of education and prevention based programs.

That said, I can see that your nation holds dearly the concept of legalization of many markets. I would highly recommend that you consider putting together a proposal that would allow us all to better explore your idea.

I am certainly interested to see what you will put together and can promise you that I'll view your proposed resolution with an open mind.

Good Luck,

Actually, i believe that most nations probably have some sort of organized crime in their regions. US - Mob, Italy - La Cosa Nostra, Japan - Yakuza. All the same, just different names. Nations also have illegal gambling and not to mention black maket trade. Organized crime probably has their hands in that. Also, this not a means to an end. It is a start to an eventual finish with organized crime becoming legit or wipped out completely.

The Grand High Coven of Mother in Laws who run many things including crimes against mankind in Bahgum would make mincemeat of a mere law, and the poor policeman who dared enforce it..........

Well, we believe this proposal to be foolish at best considering the fact that if gambling is made legal then the federal goverment will tax it, thus bookies and people who bet on games will pay these taxes. Not only that but these extra tax funds can go towards social programs or education or whatever the nation deems important. By making gambling illegal then you only take away extra tax revenue. Also what kind of bootlegging are we talking about? make drugs legal and tax that too why not prostitution make it mandatory aids and vd testing once every six months and tax thier wages then problem solved.
