Please support a worthy effort to eliminate genocide! Vote for the U.N. proposal entitled "Quash Genocide Now." Thanks for all your support!

Below is the text of the proposal:

Quash Genocide Now
A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights Strength: Strong Proposed by: The Palmetto States
Description: Because genocide threatens the existence of the poorest and most vulnerable members of our world,

And further because such acts deprive individuals and groups of their inalienable human rights,

And finally because such acts cry out for swift justice on behalf of the oppressed peoples of the earth,

We, the U.N. member states, hereby resolve to quash any acts of genocide with swift, staggering and successful military force against any genocidal agressors, on behalf of the people they would destroy.

While we unequivocally condemn unjust wars of conquest, we equally resolve that our concern for peace and global stabiity will never prevent us from fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves.

Rather, we resolve to view world crises with eyes wide open and to respond with unwavering resolve wherever and whenever justice calls. We affirm the right to wage humanitarian wars on behalf of those whose plight requires them.

Who grants us these so called inaliable human rights? Where do we get these rights? Why do we have them? What are they?

The Theocracy of Rajaria has quite a few concerns about your proposal. First being a peace loving people we find justifying war as problematic. Each leader is the father of their nation and should be allowed to steer policy where they find it necessary. Second the concept of "humanitarian" implies that citizens have universal rights above and beyond that granted to them by their government. Government isn't meant to serve citizens, citizens are meant to serve government. To reverse the natural order of things would inevitably promote disorder and depravity.

Additionally we are wondering how you are defining "genocide." Too broad a definition could adversely affect many nation. For example many well run nations work on a rigid structure where every citizen knows their place. And if a group of citizens steps out of line to promote disorder, is it not the duty of the government to step in and use any method possible to restore things to their natural way?

A better solution might be establishing world wide limits on the rights enjoyed by all men so that no one feels as if anyone else is being provided special treatment. When all men are allowed to enjoy the fruits of tyranny they can finally know ones place and not be jealous of the freedoms of others. And will prosper along with their rulers in mututal symbiosis.

Being a newly admitted member of the United Nations we look forward to working with you on this.
