If this utter travesty reaches quarum, I'll definitely resign, since it will just proove the U.N. is made up of inept, lazy, ethically void nations who are incapable of performing any real usable function but to sit around on their fat rears, watch TV, and dictate they path of laziness and utter void of life and social order....

Three day weekend
A resolution to increase democratic freedoms.

Category: The Furtherment of Democracy
Strength: Significant
Proposed by: Brigantine

Description: As nations work force work on average more then a 40 hour week.

As this proposed resolution would if passed, let families have more family time and help aleviate worker "burnout".

It is proposed that a three day weekend twice a month be implemented

Because happy person is a productive person and would futher better democracy

**With a sigh Lydia begins as she always does with reminding members for a little consideration to others**

Honourable member of Brigantine, please note that is good etiquette to paste a copy of your proposals to the thread in which the debate is taking place. It makes it a great deal easier for everyone, stops someone else from having to do it and provides a consistent point of reference. Also running it through a spell check would help avoid embarrassment.

My comments are quite simple this proposal firstly has no measures; all it consists of is a proposition rendering it meaningless. Secondly, unless my maths fail me, workers will have to work twice as hard in the four day weeks to earn the same amount as they would have in a five day week. Does the honourable member propose to subsidise these family’s that have been disadvantaged by this proposal or if the employers have to pay subsidise them?

The government of Telidia is unable to support this proposal.

Respectfully,
Lydia Cornwall, UN Ambassador
HM Government of Telidia

As nations work force work on average more then a 40 hour week....

If you can't research properly, and you base your preamble on faulty assumptions then you don't have a chance of getting my support.

There is a resolution called The 40 Hour Workweek.

As such this proposal is rejected by the DSH, and I'll be debating against this proposal.

Plus, your grammar needs improving. And your spelling....and I'd argue the category is wrong...

Not a very good proposal.

Also, some people enjoy working five, six, or even seven days a week. Others may not enjoy it, but need the extra income. Will you be depriving them of their right to earn as much as possible?

Well look at this. Yet another stupid prosal and a waste of time. If this proposal actually makes it to quorom, I will definitely vote AGAINST IT. I have one question though. Why do you people bother wasting your time making these types of stupid proposals!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
