F**K THE UN!!

Great Postonia

I have a problem with the UN and them constantly pushing for resolutions that are forcing other nations (whether they are members or not) to push farther into the bounds of capatilism (whether they choose to be capatilistic or not). Every time a resolution is passed it is ALWAYS claimed to be in the purpose of "bettering the world" but in actuality it is for the spread of capatilism. Now, my country (The Great Postonia) is a dictatorship. And I thought when I first came here that my form of goverment that I wished to have would stay that way... a dictatorship. But once I read the terms of the UN I discovered this idea was false. ALL NATIONS whether they are members or not MUST abide by UN rules?! That is not fair. Why should nations who do not like the UN or disagree with its policies follow their orders? Yes of course they can join the counsel and vote against or for any laws they choose. But one vote is ONE vote. Tis posssible for a country to gain support and have other nations rally around them... but only a few people have that type of power.

So instead of me ranting on and on about how much I despise the UN I'm just gonna leave with these last 3 words...

F**K THE UN!!!!

"forcing other nations (whether they are members or not)"

Erm, what have you that idea?
The U.N. has no impact on non-un nations, read the F.A.Q.

It's not too bad, Great Postonia.

We're finally getting round to regaining control of the U.N. - as was seen with the defeat of the "No Nukes" resolution.
Hang in with us, please.

If it doesn't get any better, feel free to leave.

FAQ says:

What's the United Nations?
The UN is the world's governing body. It proposes and votes on resolutions, which are then binding on all member nations. In other words, it's a hot-bed of political intrigue and double-dealing.

Your nation can join the UN, but it's not compulsory. As a non-member, you are unaffected by any UN decisions. So if you're happy looking after your nation and don't want to dabble in international politics, don't join up.

If you're ready to take your nation onto the world stage, though, the UN is for you.

I think that he may of meant Non-UN nations still get TM's asking to endorse someones particular proposal.

That and I still recall some UN nations trying to force the "No (Land) Mines" thing on non UN Nations.

1) One day people might realise to actually back-up their claims with proof of some sort ...

Because the " Banning the use of Landlines " proposal only advised all nations of the " evils " of land-mines, it only banned their use in conflict by U.N. Nations. That law only effects member nations, it forces nothing on the non-member states.

2) Please, " F**K " for all the hiding behind an pair of " * " is still nasty and inflammatory for all the " * " in it. If your actually with hope to be given some credibility at least keep a civil tongue in your post ...

i have to say i only use the UN for my work in the Freedom Fighters,

apart from region crashing and defending, i believe the UN has little bearing on the rest of NS.

Quite at the contrary. It has just recently affected the amount of civil rights my citizens have. Now my country is a civil rights paradise and i dont need any prisons.. i have 0 crime in Gigatron!!

You can always quit the UN, and setup your own region. The Most Serene Republic of Misty Creek did this and we couldn't be happier! We are free from the laws passed by the UN and will make our way without interference in our national affairs. We support those nations that share our vision of self determination.

Best way to go about it if you really don't want your main nation in the UN.
